Hello Quilting Friends! Last night(the wee hours of this morning 12:30ish A.M.) the Lone Star was bound and considered done. Today, I slept in until 7:30, got a cup of decaf, took these pictures, and now I'm writing this post. Today I'll make and add the label then throw her in the washer.

Hello Quilting Friends! Can you believe it's been over a month since I last stepped foot in the Quilting Studio? To be honest it's been more like two months since my last stitch. There's been a couple blog post about playing with fabrics but no stitching. Well I'm happy to say I hemmed a pair of curtains a few days ago and it tickled the quilting bone a bit. So here I am working on this Lone Star again.
Hello Quilty Friends! Just a quick pop in to share the progress on the Lone Star quilt. It was another busy weeks so I didn't get as much done as I would have liked. Only three of the six strip sets were pieced.
This Lonestar Quilt Block was made in 2011.
I had to wash a stain off one of the points and press it before I took this photo.

read moreI firmly believe that anyone who has a voice can sing. Whether their singing is pleasant to hear or not is another story altogether. Similarly, I can make a quilt with any group of colors. Will that grouping be aesthetically appealing? That depends on the design.
